This simple biography of academy award winning movie star Denzel Washington begins by telling about his childhood and then goes on to describe his time a Fordham University where he originally thought about becoming a doctor until he learned that the science classes were too hard for him.  Next, Denzel tried acting and found that he liked learning his lines and being in front of people.  The book ends on an inspirational note saying that Denzel knew what he wanted and worked hard to make it happen.  The book includes a timeline, a short bibliography and a list of web sites.  There is a very short glossary n the front.
