Colophon: Here ends the book which is called the Dictes and sayings of the philosophers, first printed in the English language by William Caxton in the year MCCCCLXXVII, now emprinted anew by ancient process by me, George G. Booth, at the Cranbrook press ... Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A., and finished this XIX day of January, in the first year of the Twentieth century, the same being anno Domini MDCCCCI. The Total number of copies, printed is CCXLIV, of which this is no. 61. The thanks of the printer are especially due to Henry M. Utley for permission to use the facsimile copy of this rare book owned by the Detroit Public library, and to James E. Scripps and Edgar B. Whitcomb for assistance in the preparation of the work for the press.
"Wood-cut initials, borders, head and tail pieces from designs by George G. Booth, including two original engravings on copper, from drawings by De Voss W. Driscoll." The second, third, sixth, seventh and last pages of text within ornamental border.
