Abstract:

Part of a 26-part introductory course in psychology that offers an overview of historic and current theories of human behavior and features demonstrations, classic experiments and simulations. Program 3 deals with the brain's structures, its biochemical reactions, and how these two affect behavior: how nervous neurons function, how information is collected and transmitted, and how chemical reactions can determine thoughts, feelings, and actions. Program 4 attempts to explain how the brain controls behavior and the role played by the environment.
