Abstract:

Reva Ewing, a former Secret Service member and now a security special for Roarke Enterproses, is a suspect in a double homicide. She had every reason to kill her husband, the renowned artist Blair Bissel, who was having an affair with her best friend. But Lit. Eve Dallas, who's on the case, believes Reva is innocent. The murder scene looks staged, the answers TOO obvious. And when she investigates, she discovers that exactly the same time the victim was being stabbed, the passcode to his art studio was changed ---- and all his computer data deliberately corrupted. To Eve's husband Roarke, it's the computer problem that's the danger signal --- he believes it's a sign that the hackers his company has benn hired to protect against, the malevolent Doomsday Group, are about to go on the attack. Can Eve and Roarke foil their plans in time?
