Abstract:

All I desire (All meine sehnsucht): An actress who has been estranged from her family, returns to her hometown to see her daughter in a school play, with hopes of a reconciliation. The town is curious but unforgiving; her high school principal husband is involved with one of his teachers, and her children have mixed feelings about her. When an unexpected turn of events lead to more scandal, Naomi's hopes of starting over are dashed -- until some surprising changes occur.

There's always tomorrow (Es gibt immer ein morgen): A successful toy manufacturer is highy rated at the factory but is ignored and bypassed at home by his wife and children. He sparks a relationship with an old flame but is soon found out by his son.

Interlude (Der letzte akkord): Based on a story by James M. Cain, a young woman travels to Munich seeking adventure and romance. She meets a symphony conductor and begins a relationship with him. However, she soon discovers that he has a family and to complicate her situation she meets a former suitor, a doctor, who works in a Munich hospital.
