Abstract:

Dream analysis is coming again to be recognized as a major strategy in modern counseling and therapy. In two powerful and insightful demonstrations: 1) An Hispanic man dreams about driving to work and John helps him discover how trapped he feels in his job; 2) an African American woman dreams about an intruder. Analysis reveals that the real issue is preventing frightening things from happening and taking more control of her life. John also demonstrates how developmental counseling and therapy (DCT) can make dream analysis more clear and powerful.
