Contents: Jesu, Maria, I am near to death --
Kyrie Eleison --
Rouse thee, my fainting soul --
Be merciful, be gracious; spare him, Lord --
Sanctus fortis, sanctus Deus --
I can no more --
Rescue him, o Lord, in this his evil hour --
Novissima hora est --
Proficiscere anima Christiana --
Go, in the name of angels and archangels --
I went to sleep; and now I am refreshed --
My work is done, my task is o'er --
All hail, my child and brother, hail! --
Lowborn clods of brute earth --
It is the restless panting of their being --
Mind bold and independent --
I see not those false spirits --
Praise to the holiest in the height --
Sound is like the rushing of the wind --
Glory to Him --
They sing of thy approaching agony --
But hark! a grand mysterious harmony --
And now the threshold as we traverse it --
Praise to the holiest in the height --
Thy judgment now is near --
Jesu! by that shuddering dread which fell on thee --
Be merciful, be gracious, spare him, Lord --
Praise to His name --
Take me away --
Lord, thou hast been our refuge --
Softly and gently, dearly-ransomed soul --
Lord, thou hast been our refuge --
Praise to the holiest.
