Abstract:

The Goo-Roo Daarn - Story Background & Storyteller Profile Documentary' is part of a series of films from Aboriginal Nations Australia. The Dreaming is an award winning animation series recommended by educational institutions throughout Australia. There are 6 parts to the complete series, and each looks at unique indigenous stories, beautifully animated by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists. The stories tell us things about the land, animals and birds, the trees, waterholes, rivers, sea life, the stars, society and behaviour, lore, morals and respect and cultural diversity. Many Dreaming stories share with us the historic beliefs about the creation of the world and the spiritual life in all things that exist. Each animated story is supported by a story background and storyteller profile documentary. Included in each series is an additional video about an aspect of The Dreaming.
