Economic Analysis of Chinese Transportation, written by Fengbo Zhang, a leading Chinese economist. The first citizen of the People's Republic of China to receive a PH.D in economics from an overseas country in 1986, Dr. Fengbo Zhang introduced Western Economics to China and has been advising top Chinese leaders in policy-making. He headed major national economic research projects. Analysis of Chinese Macroeconomy is the first research achievement of Chinese Macroeconomic Research, the key research project of the seventh Five-Year Plan of China, led by Dr. Zhang.

The first edition was published in Chinese by People's Press , the top publisher in China in 1987.

Dr. Zhang issued government reports for Chinese Transportation research and policy-making. In this book, he comprehensively analyzed Chinese transportation structure and key issues based on transportation economics theory and empirical analysis methods, including historical, structural, econometric and international comparison analysis along with other extensive data; guided Chinese transportation development plans and scientific policy-making.
