|Notes:||Mr. Asner conducted an acting workshop with three students who performed brief scenes for him in the Winthrop House Junior Common Room. He observed and commented on their performances, and then made suggestions while they went through the scenes again. Caroline Isenberg '84 presented a scene from "Romeo and Juliet". Jennifer Burton '86 performed a brief monologue and song, "At the Ballet," from "A Chorus Line". And Jeffrey Korn '86 did a piece from "Hell Is a Very Small Place," a powerful play by James Jerome. Mr. Asner stressed internalizing the characters' emotions while paring down gestures, movements and mannerisms. After working with the student performers, he answered questions from the audience of 80 students.|
