Edward Clark was born ca. 1655 in England or Virginia. He married Ann Allison, daughter of David and Joan Allison, in 1681, at Christ Church in Middlesex County, Virginia. He married 2) Ruth Downing, daughter of William and Elizabeth Downing, ca. 1693, and 3) Ann Fearn, in 1706. He was the father of nine children. He lived in Middlesex County until 1718 when he moved to Essex County, Virginia, where he died in 1737. Descendants lived in Virginia, Ohio, Indiana, and elsewhere.
