(CIT): In efforts to promote the mental health benefits to NIH employees of identifying and seeking help for symptoms of treatable anxiety disorders -- which the stress associated with workplace changes and other difficult life events can certainly trigger in some individuals -- NIMH and the NIH Work/Life Center are once again sponsoring an agency-wide screening, on May 5, 2004, National Anxiety Disorders Screening Day. In anticipation of the event, Daniel Pine, M.D., NIMH intramural scientist whose expertise includes the biological and pharmacological aspects of mood, anxiety, and behavioral disorders in children, as well as adults, will present this year's inaugural research lecture.
