Shows scale bars at lower left in "Mille Pas Geometriques", "Lieues Comm. de France", "Lieues Comm. d'Allemagne" and "Lieues Grandes d'Allemag." (scale determined from latitude in graticule lines).
Compare an example of the map in the Bibliotheque Nationale de France, also dated 1665 - see CPL GE DD-2987 (3310) [http://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b5904449h/f1.zoom].
The Bibliothque Nationale de France also holds later examples dated 1679 (http://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b8469836w/f1.zoom) and 1690 (http://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b84688429/f1.zoom) - both with the imprint address altered, as well as the date. However, these later examples also show other differences (for example, "Zator" instead of "Zestor" on this map, just south of "CRACOVIA" to the right of the map at 50° latitude).

Titled "Empire d'Allemagne, divisé en ses dix Cercles, avec le Royaume de Boheme, par Sanson, 1665" in the Catalogue of Maps, Prints, Drawings, etc., forming the geographical and topographical collection attached to the Library of his late Majesty King George the third, etc., London, 1829.

Cartographic Mathematical Data: Scale approximately 1:2,900,000; (E 1°26'00"--E 19°40'00"/N 55°03'00"--N 44°40'00").
