Covers: the sinking of the ship Edmund Fitzgerald in a storm on Lake Superior; the crashes of two Boeing 737 planes, a 1991 United flight and a 1994 US Air flight; a 1959 nuclear disaster resulting from a faulty experimental nuclear reactor at a secret government facility in Southern California; an oil storage tank that disintegrated releasing 4-million gallons of diesel fuel polluting the Monongahela River; and the microscopic structures, called tin whiskers, which spontaneously grow from the pure tin coatings on electronic boards and microchips, causing gigantic problems in the electronics industry.
