   schema:description "This book is systematic investigation into the nature of epistemic justification against the background of certain skeptical scenarios where such notions as justification and evidential ground are stretched to their limits. Having argued that epistemic justification is a function of both the agent's perspective as well as the truth conducivity of the grounds of one's beliefs, I criticize some of the leading contemporary theories of justification by showing how they fail to accommodate those constraints. Deontological justification is then singled out as a viable conception of justification examining its status vis-a-vis the internalism/externalism controversy. Turning to the problem of skepticism, a number of prominent sources of skeptical doubt are critically examined. This is followed by an in-depth, critical analysis of the merits of certain well-known responses to the skeptical challenge while emphasizing that dissolving the problem of skepticism is no adequacy condition on a proper theory of justification."@en ;
