Abstract:

The time is early 1944, the place a secluded area on the east coast of England. To keep the impending invasion of Normandy a secret, American and British forces have constructed a "fake" military site here -- complete with imitation ships, plywood airplanes, barracks and equipment. The Germans are meant to "discover" this operation through aerial photographs. However, a German spy has uncovered the deception and is trying to meet up with a German U-boat to report the Allied plan to the Germans. The whole outcome of the war hangs in the balance.
