A sequel to the original six-part series, Eyes on the prize -- Part II chronicles the remarkable struggle for civil rights, a social movement that has been termed the "Second American Revolution." This documentary series examines the entire spectrum of this revolution: from community power in the schools to "Black Power" in the streets ; from police confrontations in neighborhoods to political confrontation in city government ; from the growing awareness of black pride to the human alienation of urban poverty. Profiles the various groups and their leaders in detail while presenting the general history of the eventful years between 1964 and 1985.
