Abstract:

Thomas Marmaduke Mendenhall (1792-1875) was born in Guilford County, North Carolina, the son of Stephen and Elizabeth Rich Mendenhall. He and his brother, Eli, migrated to Conecuth County, Alabama, ca. 1815. He married Mary Wood in 1819. They had one son born in 1820. She died and he married 2) Mary Caldwell in 1823. They had fifteen children, 1824-1844. The family migrated to Ouachita County, Arkansas, in 1845. Thomas and Mary Mendenhall are buried in White Church Cemetery, Nevada County, Arkansas. Children and grandchildren listed lived in Arkansas, Ohio, and elsewhere.
