Diaries and journals are those of Mary Coburn Dewees (1787-1788), Nancy Barrow Pilcher (1845), Eliza Tannehill Gleaves (1846-1878), Mary Elizabeth Hunt (1848-1852), Julia Newberry (1871), and Catherine Berry Pilcher Avery (1908-1909, 1915, 1917). There are also reminiscences about Nashville written by Meritt S. Pilcher in 1934.
