Letter #1: 1910 Jan 16. Answers Johnson's question, giving a list of "what else I have written," naming stories in numerous national publications. She lists some personal references, including Henry Mills Alden, Robert A. Bowen and Hayden Carruth. She responds in detail to Johnson's suggested changes to her story "Little Anna & The Gentleman Adventurer."

Letter #2: 1910 Mar 15. Writes that she will send a story he has asked for and calls attention to a spelling error in her middle name.

Letter #3: 1920 Apr 9. Lea asks about payment methods at "The Century" and notes that she has not received a check for her first story with them.
