Tragedy of Japanese-American detainment at the outbreak of WWII in first person narrative, by now a classic account.  Has become more than relevant due to experiences of Arab-Americans and Middle East immigrants and Muslims post 9-11.  The afterward addresses this, as this edition came after September 11th, 2001. Highly recommended.
