"[Johann Joachim] Quantz's formative experiences were made in Dresden and during this three-year Bildungsreise through Italy, France, England and the Netherlands in the years 1724 to 1727. This recording explores some of the sources of Quantz's internationalized style, grouping two [of his] representative works ... together with works by composers who he met on his Grand Tour"--Insert, p. 4.
It is not known whether the Graun work was composed by Karl Heinrich or Johann Gottlieb Graun.
