Abstract:

On February 13 1978, three people were killed in a bomb blast outside the Sydney Hilton Hotel. In August 1979, at the end of their second trial, Ananda Marga members Tim Anderson, Ross Dunn and Paul Alister were found guilty of conspiracy to murder the minor right-wing figure Robert Cameron and sentenced to 16 years jail. This video explores the background to the bombing and the trials and claims that the convictions were the result of a police frame-up, leading to greatly expanded powers for the Australian security forces. A call is made for a full judicial inquiry.
