Abstract:

Newspaper clippings and near-print materials (216 p.) compiled by Kroncke, and a manuscript (485 p.) written by Kroncke, documenting the trials of the Minnesota Eight (Minnesota 8), who were convicted and imprisoned for trespassing and attempted sabotage after invading Selective Service Board offices in three Minnesota cities.

The manuscript contains portions of trial transcripts; information on judges, attorneys, and juries; defendants' statements; interviews with family members; witnesses' testimony; and similar information. It offers Kroncke's detailed critiques and analyses of the moral, social, economic, and political effects of war, particularly the Vietnam War, and of the tradition of dissent and resistance in American history.
