Personal and professional papers of Melcher contain Frost manuscripts and proofs including the original manuscripts for "Acceptance," "The cow's in the corn," "The freedom of the moon," "The investment," "The same leaves," and "The times table" together with poems copied out for Melcher, proofs of "Collected poems of Robert Frost," a fair typed copy of "War thoughts at home," and several printed and miscellaneous pieces.

Correspondence between Frost and Melcher discusses the Frost famiy, work, various editions and bibliography, publishers, speaking engagements, honors, and Frost's 50th birthday dinner hosted by Melcher.
