In this sci-fi spoof, Fry, a slacker pizza delivery man, mistakenly ends up in a cryogenics lab and is accidentally frozen on New Year's Eve 1999. When he is awakened on New Year's Eve 2999, he must learn to adapt to life in the 31st century. He meets his great ... great nephew Hubert J. Farnsworth and goes to work for him at the Planet Express Corporation, a futuristic delivery service that transports packages throughout the universe. Fry, his friend Bender, an alcoholic robot, Leela, a beautiful, one-eyed alien and the ship's captain, and the rest of the crew have numerous adventures as they travel through space delivering packages.
