This work combines the genealogy of the extensive Pilon family of Michigan with descendants of the Michigan Pilon family after Thomas Pilon came to the Detroit area circa 1850 with his wife and four of his children. One child, five year old Francis Xavier Pilon, later fathered 20 children from the late 1860s to the early 1900s; his widow had 234 living descendants when she died in 1950. One of the grandchildren, Thomas Bernard Pilon, is the title member of the family being traced.
The associated lines include Villaire, Cushway (Cushois), Hebert, and several other families from the SE Michigan area.
