Subject and claim files of a general grievance committee representing 13 Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen lodges in Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri.

Includes agreements between the Brotherhood and the Chicago Great Western Railway Company with regard to specific issues, policies, and practices; employee timetables; rosters and seniority lists; correspondence and memoranda; ex parte briefs and transcripts of investigative hearings; and other documentation related to mileage and time claims, complaints and grievances against Great Western management, and appeals of unfavorable decisions by lower-level managers. Correspondents include aggrieved workers, grievance committee chairmen, local (lodge) chairmen, presidents of the national Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen organization, officials of the Chicago Great Western, the Chicago and North Western Railway Company, the National Railroad Adjustment Board, and the United Transportation Union.
