What makes a society happy? Weiner goes on a round-the-world quest, beginning in the Netherlands with a scholar who manages a database of happiness studies. He visits countries that score high on happiness measures (Switzerland, Bhutan, Qatar, Iceland, Thailand, Great Britain, India) and one country that scores very low (Moldova), concluding his travels at home, in the US. Interesting, with a sense of humor that reminds me of Bill Bryson.
