The Giuseppe De Santis Papers contain a variety of materials pertaining to films both released and never produced. Screenplays, manuscripts, research, and photographs make up the majority of the materials. Handwritten notes by De Santis and well worn screenplays from films by the director and writer enhance the materials unique quality and importance.

Screenplays, manuscripts, film stills, and various papers of Giuseppe De Santis (1917-1997), Italian film writer and director. 18 titles are represented, some films were released and some were never made. Italian students from Wake Forest University translated some notes and abstracts of the screenplays and other materials.
