Television documentary concerns the infamous Depression-era battle that pitted Gloria Morgan Vanderbilt against her mother and sister-in-law, Gertrude Payne Whitney, over the custody of her own daughter. Ten-year old "little Gloria" Vanderbilt, heiress to her grandfather's railroad and shipping fortune, became the pawn and the prize of a custody case in which the deepest family secrets were exposed to the public. Includes excerpts from an interview with the younger Gloria Vanderbilt.
