Written for both the coffee-curious and the coffee-passionate, this up-to-the-minute (ends Summer 2007) account of the people behind the leading importing and roasting companies in the US, including Stumptown, Terroir, and Intelligentsia.  What these young men (mostly men) have been trying to do is to connect the consumer with the farmer by raising coffee standards and the price paid to farmers for better coffee.  Written with great gusto, lively reading, full of humor and insights.
