Abstract:

In the contemporary generation, words which have served other ages perfectly well have become so familiar that they are now, in many instances, little more than a part of the scenery. Even from the Christian, committed and dedicated, these words often evoke none of the deep response which the exciting concept, hiding behind the familiar facade, should bring forth. In this book, then, the author is doing two things: One, he is cutting away the wordy underbrush which has tended to obscure the total implication of some of the greatest and most far-reaching concepts ever presented; Two, he is restating these concepts in simple, current phrases. - Jacket flap.
