The manager of a company of players calls them together to take part in a play. The characters of this religious drama will be a Rich Man, a King, a Peasant, a Begger, Beauty and Wisdom. Each character in turn expounds his attitude toward life, then they see if there is any social purpose in their lives and whether they are prepared to fulfill it. Before facing death, each character has one more chance to mend his ways.
