Abstract:

In George Washington, kids will examine the life of the man whose leadership helped transform 13 colonies into a brilliant new country. From leading the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War to helping to shape the young nation, kids will get a look at the man many refer to as the "Father of Our Country."

In Thomas Jefferson, kids will examine the life of the statesman who wrote one of the world's greatest documents -- the Declaration of Independence -- and, in turn, helped form the very country we live in today.

In Benjamin Franklin, kids will get a look at the life and times of this prolific Founding Father. From his early years in Boston to the famous experiments with electricity and his globe-trotting negotiations during the Revolutionary War, kids will learn why our country is a better place because of his contributions.

Revolutionary War Heroes focuses on the daring acts of patriotism by people such as Nathan Hale, Sybil Ludington and Molly Pitcher, and the brave military feats of Colonel Francis Marion, Captain John Paul Jones and the Black Rhode Island Regiment.
