Abstract:

Depicts the strengths and weaknesses of World War II military hardware. Both German and Japanese Blitzkriegs relied on devastating air power to support their mobile forces early in World War II. German, Italian and Japanese bomber forces, veterans of earlier campaigns in Spain, Abyssinia, and China, took a heavy toll on Allied troops, aircraft and ships as well as devastating many cities. Archival footage of the battlefields of Europe, the Far East and the world's oceans, and inside the cockpit of the most famous Axis aircraft of the war. With commentary from aviation authority Christopher Chant.
