This work enlightens the reader on how to make a good cup of green tea. Covering sixteen of the most popular types of green tea, this book leaves no leaf unturned. Covered are the different ways to make tea, whether it's in a cup, pot, or Guywan, and the importance of water temperature in preparing green tea. Interesting stories, such as the creation of the teabag, along with sayings and tips are found throughout the book, illustrating the discussion of the various teas. Plus, green tea as an ingredient is touched on, with recipes for Green Tea Sauce for ice cream, Ochazuke, a japanese rice and tea soup, and Green Tea Poached Halibut. With 25 line drawings and a mail order guide, no other book reveals the secrets of making a perfect cup of green tea in a such a throrough and engaging way.
