Family History   (2014-04-17)
The genealogical working group of the Royal Essen Local History Society celebrates its’ 25th anniversary by publishing, Grenzeloze Genealogie (Boundless Genealogy).
What I find of the most value is the amount of historical information researched about many of the named persons and families.
Many family history books focus on the pedigree information, and do a poor job writing about history of the times and about the people of the time.
My father (named on page 131), and his brothers who immigrated into the USA taught their children very little of the Dutch language. A very unfortunate language barrier for the family line generations born in the USA, especially when one encounters such a well written book as Grenzeloze Genealogie.
On the outside back cover I read and attempt a translation. . .
quote. . .
The genealogical working group of the Royal Essen Local History Society celebrates its 25th anniversary.
The current board members put their heads together and wrote this anniversary book, Boundless Genealogy.
New genealogies, pedigrees, general information, linking to experts and kinsman and a survey of their 25-year operation.
A must for anyone who is in Antwerp and North Brabant regions involved with family history knowledge.

My most sincere Thank You to Jean Bastiaensen and his fellow authors, historians and genealogists from the Essen history society working group for such a fine book.
I am very happy to have a copy of your book in my possession.
