The collection consists of a mimeographed report and accompanying transmittal letter on the "Harlem Project" on the "Role of the School in Preventing and Correcting Maladjustment and Delinquency." The Project, which involved enhanced curriculum, assignment of extra teachers, and provision of services by psychologists and social workers, for three selected schools, was carried out during 1943-1945; the report, which evaluates the results of the project, was prepared in 1947 and released in 1948.
