Abstract:

The history of Australia/West Indies matches began inauspiciously in 1930 when the first team from the Caribbean visited Australia and was comfortably beaten. The contests were enlivened after the war by the presence of the three W's - Walcott, Weekes and Worrell - and Australia's champions Miller, Lindwall and Harvey. This two part cassette explores the history and drama of the great cricket series, including the 1977 schism that changed the face of cricket forever.
