Abstract:

Blackmail: After his girlfriend stabs a man to death while trying to defend herself from rape, a Scotland Yard detective is assigned to the case and does his best to protect her from being arrested, while a shady witness begins to blackmail the frightened girl.

Number 17: On the trail of a gang of jewel thieves, a detective discovers a dead man at a mysterious house, which leads him on a twisting trail of disappearing bodies and hidden loot.

Murder: Even though a famous actor on a jury does not believe the young actress on trial for murder is guilty, he votes with the rest of the jury to convict her. Haunted by his decision he becomes an amateur sleuth in order to find the real murderer.

The lady vanishes: Travelers on a trans-European train are put up in a hotel for the night due to bad weather. Shortly after the journey begins in the morning, an old lady disappears and two young people investigate.
