The young lions : Depicts the individual men and women caught up on both sides of World War II. On the American side, two men team up to endure the hardships of boot camp and the struggle to retake France. On the German side, a dedicated officer goes from the victories of the early years to the despair of defeat. Inevitably, the two sides are drawn together for the showdown.

Hang 'em high : Jed Cooper is mistaken for a criminal and is unjustly hung by the ruthless Captain Wilson and his nine-man gang, who leave him for dead. Cooper escapes the lynching and sets out on a deadly rampage of revenge against his persecutors.
