Home movie compilation shot by Pat Rocco. There is a shot from an airplane flying, then numerous takes from New York City featuring Rockefeller Plaza, Times Square, and shots of the city at night. Rocco then goes behind the scenes of the television studio (probably NBC) where the Top 20 dance group is recording a television show. The dancers are seen putting on their make-up and getting into costume. There is one quick shot of Tennessee Ernie Ford. Next there are various shots of Coney Island and the Top 20 dance group on the rides. Then there are shots from on the set of the Ford show production of The Mikado that aired April 16, 1959 on NBC. Actors are on stage in full make-up and costume performing the production. A title card dated April 27-28, 1960 identifies the next segment as Springfield, Missouri. Rocco is on campus at Drury College filming the Top 20 as the dance group performs the number "It's spring" from the Broadway musical, State fair. The next title card identifies the following segment as: In the land of the big red cars. Rocco and his friends are riding a red trolley to San Pedro, California. There are various shots of his friends walking around San Pedro. Next is a marquee that reads: Best foot forward--musical comedy. Rocco shows us a behind-the-scenes look at the show with the Top 20 dance group. Afterwards, there is a title card that reads: Touring escapades. This segment is comprised of shots of the Top 20 on tour around Southern California and Arizona with their show, Foolin' around. There is a shot of the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles and the Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara (dating the performances for January 4-5, 1957). The group is also seen in Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona. While in Phoenix, the cast is seen around a pool at their hotel. Then there are shots of the Fox Theatre in San Diego, California. Finally, the group is back in Southern California, with scenes taken in Big Bear, shots of the Broadway Hotel, the Pantages Theatre, and the CBS television studio.
