"How doctors think" is an examination of cognitive errors which can lead doctors to an incorrect diagnosis or therapy.  Groopman provides suggestions for patients to help doctors avoid these cognitive errors. The book is also an indictment of evidence-based medicine. Doctors must remember that reliance on a base of evidence does not preclude the use of their judgment and reasoning.
