Prachtige film, vooral de karakteristiek hoofdrolspeler.De film vertelt de geschiedenis van de uitbreiding van de Verenigde Staten richting het westen, verteld vanuit het perspectief van één van de pioniersfamilies. Zebulon Prescott neemt in het begin van de 19e eeuw zijn familie mee...
