This book contains the letters of a civil war soldier who was in Company K, 14th Indiana Volunteers, Infantry.

There are photocopies of William Trisler's letters, and they have been transcribed by Dr. Shotts with footnotes regarding history and relatives of William Trisler.

William Trisler wrote his parents and others at home.  He became quite anguished by the war and what he wrote in 1861 - 1864  is significant in 2013 for military writing home.
