A beautifully illustrated to enspire young fans of all sports.  This soroy is about Billy, a young and aspiring football palyer, who feels discouraged because he doesn't get to play very much because his coach thinks that he is too small.  He wishes for just once his coach would notice him.   Billy is an avid fan of the New York Giants, and goes to very game.  He likes all of the players, but his hero is the quarterback of the team Johnny Unitas.  A very special event happens in Billy's life.  His best friend tells him that he knows where one of the Giants players live.  Billy ask who but his friend wants it to be a surprise.  It turns out that Johnny Unitas lives there.  Billy and his friend spend time with Mr. Unitas, who passes on great advice about never giving up even when you are down.  Billy becomes more determined than ever to become a quarterback no matter what others say.  Shortly after his meeting with Mr. Unitas, Johhny and his father travel to watch the Giants play in the NFL championship game.  It is a difficult game for the Giants but Billy witnesses his hero continue to play his best even when the Giants are losing.  Eventually the Giants triumph.  Billy is able to apply what he learned from his hero to his commitment to football.  An inspirational story.  This would be great for a read loud.
