Cassette 1. Ms. Jones discusses her first experiences with the José Limón Dance Company and working with Doris Humphrey as artistic director; Humphrey's work Corybantic; the relationship between Humphrey and José Limón; other memories and observations of Humphrey and Limón as people, teachers, and artists; the Humphrey and Limón techniques; her ideas regarding spirituality in dance; her perception of Limón's attitude toward religion; Limón's work Missa brevis; and the creation of Limón's A choreographic offering.
Cassette 2. Ms. Jones continues discussing A choreographic offering and then talks of the challenges of performing Humphrey's work; the ways dancers are changing; and the limitations of current training.
