Betty L. Corwin, founding director of the Theatre on Film and Tape Archive, an archive of theatrical videotapes which is part of the Billy Rose Theatre Collection, discusses the history of the archive, which is located at The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center. Topics covered include the union negotiations which made the archive possible, technological advances in videotaping theatrical performances since the archive began in 1970, funding efforts, and anecdotes about memorable tapings and personalities.
