American Futurist Has Finger on the Pulse   (2010-09-25)
The future is wrought with complex issues that stem from our use and abuse of advanced technology. Rossi's "The Intruder Bulletins: The Dark Side of Technology" points the way out of entrapping our physical well-being by boldly suggesting maybe there are some places we should not simply go. Take for example "human cloning" the excuse of "it's needed for child-less couples" holds little water when considering invertro, surrogate pregnancy or adoption are excellent choices that will not endanger humanity from creating a slave race of flesh automatons capable of murder and utitlized like a disposable razor.
What if there is a "gay gene" as science continues to point out with mounting evidence year after year., becomes a face of life. Will the test to identify it before birth force people into abortions? Will the gay movement have to join the Christian movement is opposing gay abortion or abortion altogether? Sure does mess up the "neatness" of prejudice.
There are more than 40 chapters ranging from pharmaceutical fascism to stem cell research and a final chapter on some of the possible solutions to the dangers he outlines. Unlike some authors, Mark Antony Rossi, is a futurist who does not merely pose questions without providing some solid answers.
Read this book and take a peek into the future.
